Making Faces Week 9

I am out in LA this week, and I have a new look to post for you. Its from the Kevin Aucoin Book Making Faces. I am really enjoying doing this project, its really helping me figure out angles for taking beauty images.

The girl in the book, has the most amazingly dark skin, I on the other hand, have the complete opposite. Thankfully its easy to follow the steps and make the adjustments.

Yay for bight colors!

Face: Makeup Forever Luminizer

Eyes: On brows Mac Eye Brows in Spiked . Eyes are lined with Mac Spring 15 lip and cheek palette in One to Watch. Finishing off lashes with Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

Lips: Mac lip liner in Soar, Mac pro lip Palette

Making Faces Week 8

This weeks look is called “the anarchist” This look was very clean, with a graphic eye color and line.

The amazing Kevin Aucoin book Making Faces is again where I am drawing from inspiration. I did make a personal discovery this week noticing how little Mr. Aucoin uses foundation. He instruct to use concealer where necessary and less is more which I love, and always want to do but, don’t always.

Over all this look is extremely light makeup with a clean finish and just a pop of creative drama. I used the same graphic shape that was used on the model in the book, but you can do any shapes you like.

Skin : Prepped with moisturizer no foundation or concealer needed.

Eyes : Graphic liner applied with small angle brush Mac Fall 2013 Eye Palette in Blazer, Fall 2014 Eye Palette in Azure Haze, Storm Cloud, and Organic.

Lips: Mac Cremesheen Glass in On the Scene
